August Awards and September News

Hello Crew,

It's been a while since I've done an announcement here, so I thought I would send one out. Let's start with August Awards and congratulate the entire sim for winning the Award of Merit, and Silver Unit of Distinction this month, and a special recognition to Dr. Alexandra Blackstone for being recognized as Player of the Month! I haven't been as active as I would like, but you guys are such a strong crew. I appreciate everyone keeping posts going, and so many of you taking on initiative with starting posts and tagging me. It's been great for me to focus on some real life things, but still be able to write with my favorite people.

We are moving forward with the mission though! On Barisa Prime there is about to be a murder to solve. Fairly soon Shep/Dosainvil will be adding everyone to a ***Mission Timeline: Peril at the Unification Accords*** post that will have links to all of the posts so far, and it is color-coded so that you can skip right to the ones that have facts pertinent to the mission itself, so those of you who are looking to catch up quickly can easily find which posts to look at. Special thanks to Shep for volunteering to lend his organization skills and computer talent to this project. I've seen it, and it looks great, is easy to read, and I think you'll like it.

People with parts to play will hear from me by this weekend with your special information. Feel free to ham up your roles as much as you like. Those of you who've looped me into some posts that I haven't gotten to yet, this is also on my Fri/Sat to do list.

And a special note to everyone: Be kind to yourself. I know that so many of you have been going through some pretty heavy stressors. Don't put too much pressure on yourself as to how you should be able to handle or get through any kind of situation in life on a certain time frame or with regards to anyone else's expectations. We all process life differently.

Astrea has always been so blessed to have such a caring and warm group of people. I hope you all still feel safe and warm here. Your command crew and many others are always available for a chat if you feel like you have no where else to turn - or even if you just want to, because you just think we might get it. And a lot of us check pings even if we don't show online, so don't wait for that light - drop a DM, or say something in Trois Couch... We've got virtual hugs, pizza, and a variety of life experiences to draw from.
