Personal History Born in the Terran year of 1824, Samuel has seen many things during his lifetime. Growing up, he had most of the “normal” adventures that children seem to find themselves in. While not a top-tier student in school, he certainly earned his fare share of academic awards and recognition. Shortly after his 175th birthday, when he was starting to feel the need to explore the stars, he decided to travel to Earth for the first time. Like many of his people, he felt drawn to the small blue orb nestled in the Milky Way Galaxy.

When he reached Earth in early 2000, he found work with a few of his countrymen, who had already been living on Earth for many decades under false identities, working on construction of the Millennium Gate, Earth's first self-sustaining community. He later watched in horror, as the Humans fought and killed each other in brutal battles and conflicts. Feeling that he couldn’t stand by a watch his new friends continue to suffer, and obeying the rules of his government that there be no interference with how backwards worlds handle their own internal issues, he decided to leave the planet. As it turned out, his departure was mere weeks before World War III officially began. A few months after he had returned home, and then the news of the bloody war reached him, he decided to return, if for no other reason, than to aid the Humans in rebuilding their civilization. After securing passage on several different starships, he finally managed to reach the planet in late 2055.

Fate decided to position Samuel near a certain missile silo located in Colorado in January of 2063. He managed to get hired by Zephram Cochrane while the brilliant inventor was completing the Earth’s first warp-capable ship, the Phoenix. Samuel was nearly killed when the Borg attacked the site, in an attempt to prevent Cochrane's launch on 22 April. During the short time that the Enterprise (1701-E) away teams were on the surface, to ensure the mission proceeded as originally planned, Samuel's biological origins were identified by the medical staff sent to help the local populous. After briefly speaking to Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Samuel was allowed to stay hidden amongst the twenty-first century humans.

A few months following First Contact, Samuel again decided to leave Earth and travel the cosmos. He spent the next two hundred years moving from planet to planet. He visited Andoria Prime, Bolarius Prime, Vulcan, Betazed and Trill, finally returning to the El Aurian homeworld. He would spend the next twenty-eight years, living happily, in the village of his birth.

Unfortunately, his happiness would come to a sudden end. Using the Terran calendar, the Borg reached his homeworld in 2291. The ensuing encounter proved to be the bloodiest in El Aurian history. In a move that proved completely opposite of the Borg mentality, nearly two hundred cubes entered the El Aurian system and began obliterating each planet they reached. Of a civilization that numbered in the trillions, barely ten thousand El Aurians managed to escape ultimate destruction. Samuel was one of those scant few lucky ones. His parents and most of his friends, unfortunately, were not.

Over the next sixty years, Samuel wandered the cosmos much like a nomad. He spent much of this time working for the Orion Syndicate. He never performed any illegal acts, he simply performed various general duties, such as: bartender, shuttle pilot, warehouse supervisor and even a bodyguard for a short period of time.

In 2346, he left the Syndicate, under good graces, and made his way back to Federation-controlled space. He spent the next few years serving on a few different Starfleet starships, finally ending up on the USS Nimitz. When looking over the available civilian slots, he decided to apply for the position of ship's barber. After several months of spending time with nearly everyone of the crew, he started to finally consider that he had found a place to call home.

During his time on the Nimitz, he got to know the entire crew and their families and truly felt as if he was finally content in the universe. Of course, again, Fate chose to deal out a few bad cards.
The Nimitz had a few exciting, and dangerous, missions. Regrettably, her final mission came far too soon. The ship had replied to a planetary distress signal coming from a system on the far side of the Cardassian Union. The resulting tragic events, which have been deemed classified by Starfleet Command, proved to be the regrettable demise of the USS Nimitz.

After the survivors had been transported back the Earth and debriefed, Samuel left and tried to find a way to heal his mind and body. It took him several months to achieve this goal. Finally, after he started to feel as if he could rejoin his friends. Knowing that he had a position waiting for him on whatever command that Admiral Hurin now had, Samuel looked up the information and discovered where that command had ended. Not surprised by what he discovered, Samuel immediately booked passage for Starbase 80.

For the next few years, he remained with the Admiral's command. When finally. Hurin retired, Samuel decided to make a change. He changed his occupation from barber, to bartender. He moved from location to location, learning multiple recipes and tricks.

Finally, he learned of an opening on the starship, USS Astrea, for bar manager of their main lounge. He put in an application to serve the crew and was accepted. After arriving and settling in, he got to work on redesigning the ten-forward lounge.

Shortly after arriving aboard the Astrea, and re-opening the ten forward lounge as Paddy's Loft, an Irish pub he had enjoyed during his first time on Earth, he met a special woman. She was highly intelligent, a great person, and incredibly sexy. She was also the acting CO of the Astrea. Her name was Remy, and he was hooked as soon as she stepped up to his bar.

What will happen next, is up to Fate…
