New Website, Mission Updates, & Crew Accolades

Posted on Sun Mar 2nd, 2025 @ 10:31pm by Captain Remy Johansen

Hello All,

It is March, which in the Midwest (United States) means that Spring is around the corner, just after False Spring and Second and Third Winters. It's also a time of change. We change our clocks, AND, we're changing websites! While both old and new websites are working now, I would encourage everyone to change your bookmarks, and clear your cache, and update your Astrea page to:

astrea.harperhold.com

I have already updated the site's default email, so you may have noticed more updates going to Spam. If this is undesirable, I believe that once you mark a few of them as "not spam" you should start seeing the updates going back into your inbox.

With the Sim's 1 Year Anniversary this Dec '24/Jan '25, several of our members have been here over a year now. Special thanks to Nash, Clay, and Thivi for helping get this Sim off of the ground. Each of them took special attention to pick roles that were needed at the time, and Thivi (101 posts!) filling in empty space with NPCs to keep our departments operational for newcomers. Next in line for longevity is my trusted XO, Spello, who has kept this Sim moving forward and focused and the JP's flowing (162 posts!) during some early growing pains. Our Second Officer, Eirly has an anniversary coming up soon also and currently stands at 120 posts.

Longevity acknowledgements also go to Razka Kas (1 year 3 weeks), Chrys Capulet (11 months, 1 week), and Phaedrae Cyn (10 months, 3 weeks). Thank you for sticking it out, and for making such a great environment here that new players want to join!

The mission will be moving forward in this next month. We have some wacky space to get into and science and medical need to have their fun. If you are in one of the few posts that are the bridge to the next stage, I'll be pushing those forward a bit more aggressively. In those particular posts - if tags don't get responded to, we'll be writing around you or possibly doing minimal hijacking to make sure we can move along. This is just mission specific posts that lead to the next stage - side plots still move at your own pace.

As a final note - I know that a lot of individuals are struggling right now. Health, family, personal relationships, finances, loss of loved ones, stress from work, school, economy, and other pressures - whatever it may be. Some of shared, some may be struggling privately. We live in an isolating time. Don't give up on yourself. Be as kind and as forgiving to yourself as you would to your most beloved friend. Give yourself permission to feel your feelings. Permission to fail. Permission to try again. And don't be afraid to ask for help, for support, for a friend.

Much love from me,

Nicole (Aka Remy)
