Personal Log, supplemental.
It feels really good to be back home on Astrea. Brunel is improving every day, now only needing the hover chair for a few hours each day. His ordeal has brought us all closer, especially Sara and Alexandra. Before Brunel came into the picture, their relationship was…testy at best. The worry, fear, anxiety, and love we shared with Brunel strengthened the bond between mother and daughter. I couldn’t be happier about that part.
On a personal level, I’m hopeful the return to our daily routine will afford some private time with Sara. It’s been quite awhile since we’ve been alone together and I miss her terribly.
My engineering team did not miss a beat when I was gone. Maintenance and diagnostics stayed on schedule and engine efficiency is the highest it’s ever been. My job for the next week or so—-getting the slipstream drive to remain stable and online.
