Mission: Shore Leave & Ship Repairs
Timeline: MD 4, 1800 Hours

After staying up until sunrise the night before, Malcolm was back at Eirly's door at 1800 hours, a bouquet of Danish wildflowers wrapped in yellow tissue paper. He touched the panel for the door chime and waited for Eirly to respond.

Eirly had not long finished in the shower and getting her hair dried and was in the middle of getting herself dressed and was plaiting her hair when the door chime went off. She wasn't expecting anyone so she walked over to the door to open it. Finishing securing her hair with a hair tie, her face lit up to see it was Malcolm, "Hey you, i wasn't expecting to see you for a while, have you got some sleep yet?" She stepped aside to let him in and gave him a kiss on the cheek as he walked past.

"I woke up a few hours ago. These are for you," Malcolm said, handing her the wildflowers. "You talk about things from home a lot. They're a mix of Danish wildflowers. Replicated of course. I couldn't find any growing around here. I thought it might brighten your evening a bit."

Her eyes widened slightly as she took in the thoughtful gesture and admired the different colours, "They're gorgeous, I love them." And they were wrapped in yellow tissue paper too! Just this sentiment alone was enough to make her miss home, "You'd see these scattered all over the countryside on the hills every Spring, and they'd have a beautiful scent too." Eirly moved to go and put them in some water so they didn't start to wilt and then walked back to Malcolm with adoration in her eyes, "You spoil me too much, you know that right?"

"Not really. If I were a better boyfriend, I'd have thought of this a few days ago," Malcolm said sheepishly. "I wanted to surprise you, but I couldn't think of a way to do it, and get you to pack a bag, so I decided to just pop by and tell ya. I went ahead and booked us a hotel room for the next couple of nights. I reckoned you'd want some time to pack and all before we head down later."

Eirly blushed pink at the news, "Oh my gosh, really? You did that?" She placed her hands on his chest, looked up at him and smiled, "You're amazing, you know that right?" Then she kissed him, "When do we need to check in?" Her mind started ticking over on what to pack, dependent on where they were going.

"The room is ready. We can check in whenever we are ready to. No rush," Malcolm replied. "I called this morning, but I didn't want to disrupt you while you were sleeping."

"So I guess I better get to packing then, shall I?" Eirly smiled in reply. How did she end up with someone so thoughtful? "Give me ten minutes to pack some things I think will be appropriate and we can get going if you want, unless you want to check in later?"

"That's lovely timing. I'll go get my own bag, and be back here in ten."

"Sounds good to me," Eirly watched as he left and then looked for the blue and white weekend bag she'd brought with her and set to choosing a couple of outfits, shoes, and some things she knew Malcolm would like, along with her makeup and hair products. It wasn't long before Malcolm was back with his own packed bag and in her quarters.

"I hope you like the place. It's a bit different from where we have been spending our time," Malcolm warned her.

"Colour me curious then," Eirly responded with a quirked eyebrow and excited curiosity in her voice.

After walking to the Transporter Room they were transported down to the front doors of a hotel that sat along the edge of a large bluff overlooking the bay. Before walking inside, Malcolm directed her the other direction toward a set of guardrails where you could look out and see the rest of the bluff. "The lobby has its own transport, so if there's somewhere we wanted to go we could get there quite easily. But our room has its own balcony and jacuzzi, and the hotel has its own private beach. I'm sure the stairs are around here somewhere."

Overlooking the bluff was a beautiful view and one Eirly for sure wouldn't get sick of, especially with Malcolm by her side. "And it's all ours for the next couple of days? I feel like the luckiest girl in the world." She looked at him with a smile, "I'm just hoping that all of this won't break the bank for you?"

"Don't even think about that," Malcolm said shrugging it off. "When you work for Starfleet you hardly ever spend any credits until you get to a place like this. Let's go take a look at our room then?"

Eirly nodded in agreement about the spending of credits, "I'll follow your lead, my love."

"Come along then." Malcolm stopped to take a look at her before he led her inside. She was beautiful, inside and out. Realizing he'd probably been looking a little too long, he shook his head. "Back this way."

She shook her head and laughed. She knew the look he was giving her and it never failed to make her feel just that extra bit special.

They took a lift to the ninth floor, where Malcolm took a second to double check the numbers to find their suite. Their door was on the corner, and the key card opened to reveal a large great room with white plush furniture, and live plants. There were glass doors that lead out to the balcony, and you could see the ocean through the sheer curtains almost as soon as you walked in. To their right was their bedroom, decorated in blues and greens with a king sized bed and and attached bath with a jacuzzi tub made for two.

There was a bottle of champagne on ice and a box of chocolates waiting for them on the sofa table, along with a note that listed various services the facility provided.

"I hope it's okay," Malcolm said sheepishly as he stepped aside, giving Eirly space to look around.

Eirly didn't have words to describe how beautiful the room was. It was more than just a room. Everything complimented each other, the views were stunning, and she was just in awe of it all the more she walked through the room, "Mal, this is gorgeous. It's absolutely perfect, I.. I'm honestly speechless."

She walked back to him and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him, "Thank you for this surprise, I love it.. Just as much as I love you." Her eyes went wide as she realised what she'd said and then she went quiet, hoping she hadn't just stuck her foot in it.

Malcolm instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist when she wrapped her hands around his neck. They fit together like a puzzle when she did that. He brushed an imaginary strand of hair away from her face. "Did you just say that you love the room as much you love me," he said to her tenderly. It wasn't really a question. "I love you more than any room on any planet, I'll have you know."

Eirly blushed at what he said, He just said he loves me too! Can this day get any better?!. "I feel like it would be very awkward if it was all one sided, but I think you're my missing puzzle piece and I don't think I could be any happier right now."

"We do fit together quite well, don't we," Malcolm replied, his arms still nestled into the small of her back. "I'm still trying to figure out what I need to do to get rated higher than the room. More flowers? Open up the bottle of champagne?"

She leaned back and shook her head, laughing, "The bottle of champagne is always a good start, but I think we could enjoy that out on the balcony overlooking the ocean instead, then we could perhaps order a second bottle later on when we try out that jacuzzi sitting in the next room?" Her tone was suggestive and her eyes twinkled with mischief.

"Aye, as you wish." Malcolm put one hand behind her neck and leaned down to kiss her gently on her lips. The arm that was still around her waist flexed and pulled her toward him. He was ready to skip the jacuzzi and make love to her right now with the way she was looking at him, but with some painstaking measures he pulled back. "Champagne," he said seriously, reaching for a PADD. "Anything else?"

The kiss was perfect, "I can't say you, can I?" She bit her bottom lip as she smiled at him, "Whatever you want to order, I'm happy with that. We have the next few days to live it up in here, so I'm pretty sure we can order something later?"

"I'm pretty much always on the menu if you're doing the ordering." Malcolm put the PADD down and quick stepped back toward Eirly kissing her, more hungrily this time, not afraid to let her see exactly what she did to him. His hands roamed over her body as he pulled her closer, knowing that close would not be close enough as long as they were standing there.

"I know that look... What are you wanting to do with me right now, Mr. Beckett?" Eirly asked with a wicked half grin.

Rather than answer, Malcolm picked her up into his arms, and walked her into the separate bedroom and placed her on the king sized bed. "Tell me what do I want to do with you," he growled as he leaned over her, kissing her neck then her lips.

A knowing smile and a giggle were all Eirly gave him in response as she ended up on the bed with him.
