Trigger Warning, Some Language
Josef continued to pound and thrash at the containment field as Dani searched for anything that might help them with the current situation.
"AAAAAAH, I'll fucking KILL you, you hear me!!!" was barely comprehensible under all the heavy breathing and snarling. His Gasmask and Helmet didn't in that case either.
Dani spun around and looked at the console she was sitting at and began to scan the Human's vitals, as well as analyze the equipment that he was wearing.
"He's wearing a form of late 21st century body armour. Gas mask meant to filter out toxins. I can beam it off of him, but I think he'd kill himself ramming against the containment field without it," the half-Orion science officer offered. "Eden, I'll get the biobed prepped with restraints. Can you prepare a lock on him without his equipment to beam him directly to it once it's ready?"
"Give me two seconds to get it configured..." Eden replied, her hands flying over the controls. This kind of work was not her specialty, but the only way she could diversify her skills was by practical application, right? She started to talk to herself for a moment, "Nope, that'll still give him weapons. Same with that." Looking back at Dani, "Sorry, a few seconds longer. Got it!"
Dani got up, and though favoring her left leg considerably, she managed to limp her way back to the shuttle's one bio-bed and key in the codes for the automated restraints at a Level 1 emergency setting.
"I noticed he's losing blood, I'll get some plasma replicated," Dani offered. "Biobed is ready." While she waited for Eden to commence the transport, Dani hobbled over to the replicator and prepared a cold compression wrap for her knee to help her remain standing to assist Thivi. Then she requested a hypospray vile of O-Negative plasma.
The tractor beam locked on to Josef and isolated him from his weapons, holding him still while it transferred him to the biobed. A separate beam shot down to bring his weapons up as well so they could be analysed and locked away in a separate compartment. "I don't like this," Eden shook her head as she watched the biobed restraints come up and lock the man into place so he couldn't move before he started struggling.
Josef was struggling helplessly against the restraints of the Biobed. Clearly angered in his drug induced haze. Screaming at the top of his lungs, which included a lot of incoherent threats and swears.
The Biobed analysis would show that the Man was not only high off his face on Methamphetamines, but also recently injected with morphine seemingly to help against the added pain of the disruptor burns.
Wound wise, he was obviously shot twice by disruptors, once clipped on his right leg and once in the chest. Other than that, he had a gaping bullet wound in his abdomen, and several older bullets still buried inside him.
"Now, hold still, sir, this'll only be a bit." Thivi sighed and pressed a hypospray loaded with Simetriline, which would act to counter the mass amounts of drug in his body. The wonders of 24th century medicine!
"Once he's settled down, we'll have to tend the wounds. Harper, please do lend me a hand - then you're next for a proper exam, understood." She added. "Is the plasma ready for transfusion?"
"Yes, I have two hyposprays prepared just in case," Dani held one out for Thivi.
"Thank you." Thivi pressed the hypospray to the man's neck. "In the meantime. I want you to administer anesthezine, standard dosage for human biology."
"On it," Dani replied as she went for the medications. When she turned around the biobed was finishing its scans, projecting an emergent warning regarding the Human's internal injuries. Several organs lit up indicating critical damage, imminent threat of sepsis and showing signs of shock.
Dani's face went blank as she saw the screen. "I'll get the stasis unit." Storage was only a few steps away, but she took off at a sprint.
Sitting at the helm, Jason looked back over his shoulder. "Where do you ladies want me to fly you to?" After the beam outs, he had begun flying the runabout in and out of orbital traffic, ensuring they weren't being followed.
"Trass and Fulvia are still down below, but we're going to need to get him to Astrea soon, I'm afraid," Dani called out as she pushed the stasis unit toward Thivi. "Stasis will do for now, but he's in pretty bad shape."
Now that the gas mask, exoskeleton and other equipment had been beamed away and Josef had been detoxed and dosed with enough drugs to at least slow down his temper some, it was easier to see what wasn't visible under his armor. Not only was there blood, and lots of it, and in certain places his skin was too white and various shades of gray, with patches of blackened skin, burned from the freezing cold of the malfunctioning cryostasis unit. His breathing was labored and shallow.
"McKenzie to Fulvia and Trass," Eden tapped through the comms. "We've got him secured and are on our way back to come get you. Be ready." She looked to Jason for a confirmation of an ETA.
'Trass to Eden, negative on that. We found our way off that rock on our own - just need to deliver the goods safely to a secure location. Commander Razka can escort us, over,' Trass replied with a smug sense of satisfaction. He began programming in the warp coordinates for the nearest secure Starfleet facility. 'We'll be back before you know it.'
"McKenzie here, message received. We'll lay a course to rendezvous with Astrea. Safe travels." Came the response from Eden with a nod.
