Mission: From the Other Side
Location: Rigel X
Timeline: Before "Crew Gone Wild" posts

The bar on Rigel X was dark and dingy, a place where not many people went unless they were really wanting to drown their sorrows.

Zoe however had another task. She was dressed in all black, her hair coiled at the back of her neck. She sat at a table near the far wall, and waited. She had two people she was looking, well waiting for, and once she had them, she would give them the information.

A short time later, Tyler entered the bar. He was in a foul mood and wanted to get drink. Moving to the bar, he dropped a cold latinum slips on the bar. "My usual, Freta," he said to the Angosian behind the bar. A few beats later, the bartender placed a mug of beer and a shot of whiskey in front of the Human. She then ignited the whiskey with a small lighter.

"Enjoy," she said with a friendly grin.

Tyler, picked up the shot glass and dropped it into the mug, extinguishing the flame. He then immediately chugged down the entire contents of the combined glasses in seconds, before slamming them back down on the bar. "Another," he responded.

Freta leaned over the bar some, her ample cleavage starting to squeeze out the top of her low-cut shirt. "Perhaps, before you get wasted, dearie, you go see what that yummy looking young woman, over in the corner table wants. She's had her eyes on you since you walked in."

Tyler took a napkin and wiped his mouth, before turning to see where Freta was indicating. He saw that Freta was right. Whomever this woman was, she was very attractive indeed. Ad he was, admittedly, now feeling curious, he made his way over to her table. "Evening, this seat taken?" He asked as he placed his hand on the empty chair on the opposite side of the table from the woman.

Zoe shook her head and waved for him to sit. "You are looking for work I hear" She didn't beat around the bush.

The young man nodded. "If you have need of a damn good pilot, then I'm your man."

She smiled and slid a PADD across the table to him. "Terms, Pay, Conditions" she said softly.

Tyson picked up the PADD and looked through the proposed offer. "Increse the pay by five percent, and add that any weapons or treasure that I aquire during our...missions....is mine, then you've got yourself a pilot."

She merely inclined her head. "Very well. Docking post 12."

Tyler nodded as he replied. "Alright. I'll head over there now. Is there anyone at the ship, or should I wait for you outside?"

"Head for the ship" She smiled.

Killian had been sitting at one of the tables nursing his what was it, fourth drink, and watching the amber liquid go around in the glass as he swirled it and reflected on the events that led him to be sitting at the bar. It was seemingly infinite sadness for what he had lost: his wife, Evie, who was the definition of sunshine and happiness in its purest form, and their son Ollie who would've been four years old now and already taking more after his mother.

He hiccupped and smiled sadly at the drink in his hand before lifting his head and calling out to the waitress. He appreciated her, he really did, "Yo," and raised his glass, watching as she excused herself from her current customer and walked over with a replacement drink for him, "You're amazing, you know that right?". The waitress smiled, tapped her hand on his shoulder twice in a reassuring way and then turned to walk away.

Zoe had noticed Killian for a while, she was waiting for the best time to talk to him. She left the table and walked over to Killian. "Hello"

Killian looked through bleary eyes at the female voice who'd intruded on his thoughts, "Hello," he said in a slurred tone, "What can I do for you?" Whoever she was, she was pretty for sure, but she didn't compare to Evie.

"I am here to offer you a job." Zoe replied placing the Padd before him.

"Uh huh, right." Killian raised a brow as he gathered his bearings and turned slightly to face her, assessing the way she was presenting this offer, "A job?" He was skeptical, but then again, he had nothing left to lose really, "What's in it for me if I accept, and what's in it for you?"

"We both get paid. The amount is on the PADD. Room and Board included. The chef isn't so bad." Zoe replied. "And there is an option for continuing the contract."

"Hmmm," Killian took a quick look over the padd and then looked back up at her with his almost silver eyes, "Who else ya got so far? And when do you need to know by? Because I've got nothing to do except drink and eat right now."

"I have a Pilot who is on his way to the ship. I need to know within 2 hours." Zoe replied.

"I can guarantee you'll be seeing me on the ship then." Killian didn't know the pilot, but he certainly hoped the pilot wasn't an idiot. "Let me finish my drink, grab my bags and I'll make my way up there." He hiccupped again and ran his thumb along the edge of the PADD absentmindedly with one hand as he grabbed his drink in the other.

Zoe nodded. "Good. One thing, when on duty, be sober. We need our wits about ourselves." She left the deal with him and headed off out into the street.

Killian took a final look at his drink, finished it and paid the tab before going back to get his stuff to meet that woman and the pilot.

== Docking Bay 12==

Zoe entered the bay and smiled as she looked at the craft there. She paused and looked around as the others joined her. She unlocked the hatch and waved the two men into the ship. "Come on in." She said softly.

Killian entered in first and looked around at what he realized was going to be his new home for the foreseeable future. He could've killed for a drink right about now, but the woman holding open the hatch had said he wasn't allowed to while on duty. He never did catch her name, "So this is the ship, huh. I assume bunks and whatnot are located upstairs?"

Zoe nodded. "Yup. You can pick your cabin, CO's cabin is locked so. I bunk in Engineering." She said already running her hands over the walls of the ship. The engineer in her was home on this ship.

"Right, I'll go put my stuff away and be back down soon," Killian hoisted one of his two bags onto his shoulder and made his way towards the stairs, leaving Tyler and Zoe by themselves. Eventually, he made his way to the cabins and took the first one on the left, noting it was a little bit roomier than he was expecting.

Tyson followed as well, his eyes moving over the ship, as his pilot's mind imagined what he would be able to do with her out in space. He heated his bags and followed Killian and Zoe inside. A few moments later, he found the cabin that had been listed as the pilot's, and placed his bags down. He would unpack later. Fir miw, he wanted to investigate the ship and her flight controls.
